Watch the My Friend Bazza Sizzle Reel

telling stories delightfully

I stand at the intersection of science and story. Through knowledge, nature and heart, I nurture children to slow down, look closer, taste deeper and fall in love with the world that feeds them.

Creative educator. Celebrating connection and real food.
Di Seels is a multidisciplinary educator, medical scientist, researcher, and creative storyteller whose work is rooted in a deep love of land, food, and community. Through science, storytelling, and creativity, Di is passionate about nurturing children’s wellbeing and empowering them to build a meaningful relationship with the world that feeds them. Today, Di brings her scientific background and educator’s heart together through film and storytelling — creating work that celebrates curiosity, connection and children’s food literacy. At her core, Di is guided by a simple purpose: to help children thrive - in their health, their connection to the earth, and their understanding of the world around them.
“This work grew from my childhood on a family farm, where food, nature and community shaped my understanding of wellbeing and connection.”

Creative Inspiration

Sally Field’s fearless, heart-led storytelling has long been a creative touchstone for Di — a reminder that stories can be playful, tender, and deeply human all at once. The name Gidget Films is inspired by Field’s iconic portrayal of Gidget — a character full of warmth, courage, curiosity and joy.
